Since joining Janes & Noseworthy in 2018, David Buckingham has been helping Newfoundlanders and Labradorians find the peace of mind that comes from knowing there’s a way forward. 

For him, nothing compares to seeing the relief on someone’s face when they realize they’re not alone — and that a true financial fresh start is possible.

One experience that stands out for David was helping a young family restructure their debts through a consumer proposal, allowing them to keep their home and van for their three children. “The relief and joy the entire family showed,” he says, “put what we do for people in perspective.”

David is proud to be part of a local team that takes immense pride in helping neighbours across the province. He believes what makes Janes & Noseworthy special is that every person is treated as more than a client — they’re treated with understanding, compassion, and respect.

Over the years, David has learned that financial hardship can happen to anyone, and that the stigma around debt still prevents many people from reaching out for help sooner. One client once told him, “After speaking with you, it was the first time I slept in I don’t know how long.” Another called him their “superhero.” Those moments remind David why this work matters.
